Suzanne da Rosa

Is a lace knitting historian, knitter & designer, and lifelong fiber arts enthusiast. She’s passionate about the history and re-creation of antique knitted lace and is currently exploring the use of agave fiber in fine lace knitting and weaving.

She has exhibited in the Shetland Museum Knitting in the Round exhibit and in fiber arts shows. She has walked across Spain twice, lived and travelled extensively throughout Mexico advocating and promoting folk artisans and filmed a video documentary about the tin artisans in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

In 1996 she created a national award-winning community wide poetry festival and developed Inner Graffiti, a life size painting and poetry project for women and girls.
